Learning Operations Architecture
Architectural boundary between ThriveOps OS (business operations) and ThriveOps LMS (instructional content)
✓ ARCHITECTURE FREEZE CONFIRMED — Release 2 Baseline Frozen
The Learning Operations architectural adjustment is approved. The revised architecture is now part of the Release 2 Baseline. No additional architectural refinements, abstractions, or domain restructuring should be introduced during Release 2 implementation unless a critical design flaw is discovered. Future ideas should be documented as ADRs or added to the Future Architecture Roadmap.
System of Record Boundary
Owns the educational experience — instructional design, content delivery, and the student portal.
Owns the operational experience — enrollment, billing, progress tracking, and executive reporting.
Wave 1A Reclassification
Wave 1A entities (Organization, ServiceLine, Program, Course, Module, Lesson, LearningPath) are reclassified as Reference Catalog Entities. They exist only to provide operational context and navigation. They are NOT the authoritative source of instructional content. They should eventually synchronize from the LMS.
✓ Architecture Freeze Confirmed
The Release 2 Planning Phase is officially closed. The Release 2 Architecture Baseline is officially frozen. Wave 1A remains under review until UAT is complete. No further architectural changes are authorized. After Wave 1A UAT approval, implementation may proceed directly to Wave 1B following the approved implementation plan.
